The research has significant implications for climate science and stratospheric aerosol injection assessment. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop a sophisticated hierarchical framework that integrates aerosol microphysics, fluid dynamics, and Lagrangian plume models
  • Execute comprehensive numerical simulations to explore relevant condition spaces and scenarios
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets from various simulation outputs
  • Provide training and supervision to graduate and undergraduate students, fostering their scientific development

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in a related field
  • Knowledge and skills developed through relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

  • PhD specifically in Atmospheric Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related fields
  • A minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience or equivalent professional research experience
