Senior Environmental Sustainability Leadership Role
As a Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor at the University of Hertfordshire, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the institution’s environmental and sustainability agenda. Key Environmental Sustainability Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Policy Development
- Lead the development and implementation of the University’s Sustainability Strategy
- Align organizational activities with global commitments like Race to Zero and UN SDGs
- Provide expert advice to the Director of Estates on sustainability matters
- Environmental Management System Oversight
- Serve as operational deputy for the University’s Environmental Management System
- Manage ISO 14001 compliance and certification processes
- Coordinate internal and external environmental audit programs
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Drive cultural and behavioral change across the organization
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Lead sustainability awareness initiatives and educational programs
