Senior Environmental Sustainability Leadership Role

As a Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor at the University of Hertfordshire, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the institution’s environmental and sustainability agenda. Key Environmental Sustainability Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership and Policy Development
    • Lead the development and implementation of the University’s Sustainability Strategy
    • Align organizational activities with global commitments like Race to Zero and UN SDGs
    • Provide expert advice to the Director of Estates on sustainability matters
  • Environmental Management System Oversight
    • Serve as operational deputy for the University’s Environmental Management System
    • Manage ISO 14001 compliance and certification processes
    • Coordinate internal and external environmental audit programs
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
    • Drive cultural and behavioral change across the organization
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Lead sustainability awareness initiatives and educational programs
