Key Production Editor Responsibilities 📝

The Production Editor role encompasses various crucial responsibilities that directly impact our member engagement and communication strategies:

• Spearhead the monthly production of RACV Club’s members’ magazine “Highlights,” ensuring exceptional editorial standards
• Develop and maintain efficient workflow processes to meet publication deadlines
• Research and craft engaging feature stories while commissioning content from external contributors
• Collaborate with the Visual Editor to coordinate monthly photography requirements
• Partner with the Senior Graphic Designer for magazine layout and design
• Maintain and optimize the content calendar for maximum impact
• Work alongside the Head of Content Channels to enhance the magazine’s content strategy
• Support the Content Editor – Commercial with RACV News and Lifestyle content
• Facilitate coordination between Club marketing, digital, and social media teams

Essential Qualifications and Experience 🎓

Success in this role requires:

• Minimum 5 years of journalism and editing/production experience
• Degree qualification in communications, journalism, or editing
• Proven expertise in sub-editing and proofreading
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop
• Substantial magazine publishing experience
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities
