Job Description Summary

As a Senior Accountant in Investment Accounting at Mileway, you’ll play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations for a large portfolio of real estate entities and investments. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting for property companies (PropCos) and holding companies (HoldCos), including bank reconciliations, invoice reviews, and monthly accruals.
• Property Accounting: Liaise with property managers to ensure accurate booking of rental income, service charge costs, and allocation of property expenses.
• Compliance and Reporting: Assist in preparing periodic VAT returns, stand-alone financial statements, and contribute to interim and final group audits.
• Cash Management: Collaborate with the Treasury team to ensure consistent funding across different structures.
• Asset Management Support: Provide financial information and analysis to support the asset management team as needed.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for financial reporting processes and suggest enhancements to the Yardi system.
