Job Description Summary

The University of Birmingham’s Department of Applied Health Sciences is seeking an Assistant Professor to develop and deliver a new Master of Public Health (MPH) by Distance Learning program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape innovative postgraduate offerings and contribute to the department’s growing portfolio of public health education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of digital content for online programs, including the new MPH Distance Learning course
  • Contribute to teaching and assessment across a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programs
  • Develop and manage approaches to teaching and learning that are best practice in public health education
  • Advise colleagues on aspects of learning, teaching, and assessment
  • Play a key role in student academic support and curriculum development
  • Contribute to the management and administration of teaching across the Department
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, enterprise, and public engagement activities
  • Pursue personal professional development in teaching and subject expertise
