Job Description Summary
The University of Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teaching Fellow to join their Department of Public Administration and Policy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach and support a mix of international postgraduates and UK public sector professionals, helping to develop the next generation of senior public sector managers and leaders.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses at various levels within the specified subject area to postgraduates and CPD students
- Contribute to the design of modules with other colleagues
- Plan and prepare teaching materials, including guidance notes and handouts
- Devise and supervise projects, student dissertations, and practical work
- Develop an approach to planning and reviewing own teaching
- Undertake a full range of responsibilities in relation to supervision, marking, and examining
- Frequently update subject expertise
- Undertake personal professional development in teaching
- Contribute to knowledge transfer in own specialism
- Undertake management/administration arising from teaching
- Contribute to departmental/school teaching-related activities and administration
