Job Description Summary
The PHG Foundation, a prestigious policy think tank and linked exempt charity of the University of Cambridge, is seeking a Policy Analyst to join their Humanities team. This role focuses on addressing ethical, legal, and societal challenges arising from scientific and technological innovations in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research and analysis on policy priorities related to biomedical science and technologies
- Collaborate with colleagues to initiate, plan, and deliver projects that secure the benefits of scientific and technological innovations for individuals and populations
- Undertake horizon scanning and analysis of potential ethical, legal, societal, and policy issues arising from novel biomedical and digital technologies
- Keep abreast of relevant policy debates, political contexts, and emerging trends in biomedical ethics and health innovation policy
- Draft background papers, briefings, and other outputs to support the work programme
- Engage with stakeholders and present the Foundation’s work at meetings, conferences, and other events
- Manage assigned projects, taking responsibility for development, delivery, quality, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation
- Contribute to raising the profile of the Foundation as a health and science policy think tank
