Healthcare Business Analyst Responsibilities and Opportunities

The Healthcare Business Analyst position at Stanford Medicine Catalyst represents a unique opportunity to participate in the advancement of healthcare innovations on a global scale. Key Responsibilities

  • Healthcare Innovation Analysis: Conduct comprehensive due diligence for projects seeking entry into the Catalyst program, including market analysis, competitive analysis, business plan review, IT and data analysis, alignment with Stanford’s goals, and SWOT analysis.
  • Strategic Recommendation Development: Participate in assessing projects and provide recommendations to Stanford Medicine Catalyst Leaders for review and approval.
  • Program Planning and Operations: Facilitate planning and operations for programs that have significant business, regulatory, and technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.
  • Policy Evaluation: Evaluate programs, policies, and procedures; identify issues and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Trend Analysis: Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify program goals.
  • Representation: Represent the program within the department, unit, or school, as well as at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders.
  • Outreach Strategy: Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategies that may include relationship development, communications, and compliance.
  • Budget Management: Develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-team efforts or direct other staff or interns to complete projects.

Healthcare Business Analyst Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with software tools including Google Suite, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Airtable, Smartsheets, Mural, Lucidchart, Tableau, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management/Marketing (CRM) software, preferably Salesforce.
