APEMH, an association dedicated to serving people with intellectual disabilities and their families, is seeking a graduated or certified educator for their Mother-Child Structure in Dudelange, Luxembourg. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a protected environment, supporting three mothers with intellectual disabilities and their children.

As a graduated or certified educator in our Mother-Child Structure, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding mothers with intellectual disabilities. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting mothers in implementing their “life project” with their child
• Helping with the organization of daily life
• Supporting the development of mother-child relationships
• Aiding in the child’s developmental progress
• Providing a nurturing and supportive environment for both mothers and children
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of progress and activities
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall improvement of the program

💼 Requirements

To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Education or a related field
• Professional experience in a similar field (experience with people with intellectual disabilities is an advantage)
• Fluency in Luxembourgish, French, and German (essential for effective communication)
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the mothers and children
• Excellent relational and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and writing skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with special needs
• Knowledge of child development and special education techniques
