Company Overview of Catch22
Catch22 is a pioneering social business that operates at the intersection of public service delivery and system change. With a unique vision centered around ensuring everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose (their ‘3Ps’), Catch22 combines the heart of a charity with the mindset of a business to drive meaningful social impact.
The organization delivers frontline public services while simultaneously working to transform the systems that often trap and disempower the very people they were designed to help. This dual approach positions Catch22 uniquely in the social sector landscape, allowing them to effect change both at the individual and systemic levels.
Catch22’s Company Culture
At the core of Catch22’s organizational culture is a commitment to building a strong society where everyone can thrive. The team approaches their work with compassion, innovation, and determination, fostering an environment where creative thinking and practical action go hand in hand.
Diversity and inclusion are fundamental to Catch22’s daily operations, with a genuine commitment to equality of opportunity both as an employer and service provider. This inclusive approach extends to their recruitment practices, where they have proudly “Banned the Box,” removing barriers for applicants with criminal convictions by not requiring disclosure at the application stage.
The organization places high value on safeguarding, ensuring all staff are appropriately vetted and trained to work with vulnerable individuals. They also offer specialized support for care-experienced applicants through their Propel Programme, demonstrating their commitment to inclusive hiring practices.
Career Growth Opportunities in Youth Services
Working at Catch22 offers significant professional development potential within the youth services and social impact sectors. The organization’s diverse portfolio of programs provides opportunities to gain experience across various aspects of youth work, mental health support, and community engagement.
Staff can develop specialized expertise in youth outreach methodologies, mental health awareness, workshop facilitation, and partnership building. The organization’s commitment to systems change also allows team members to contribute to broader policy and practice innovations in how youth services are delivered.
For those interested in advancing within the youth work field, this role provides valuable frontline experience in a respected organization while offering insights into how effective youth services can transform wider societal systems.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Catch22
Catch22 demonstrates an authentic commitment to diversity and inclusion that extends beyond surface-level statements. The organization actively works to create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to contribute fully.
Their Propel Programme specifically supports care-experienced individuals in accessing employment opportunities, showing a practical approach to increasing representation from underrepresented groups. Their “Ban the Box” initiative similarly removes unnecessary barriers for those with criminal convictions, focusing instead on skills and potential.
The organization’s vision of building a society where everyone has good people around them, a fulfilling purpose, and a good place to live naturally extends to their workplace culture. They recognize that diverse perspectives strengthen their ability to deliver effective services and drive meaningful system change.
Equal Opportunity Statement

All qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
