Job Description Summary

McKim & Creed is seeking a Survey Intern to join our Geomatics team for Spring and Summer 2025. This hands-on internship offers students the opportunity to gain practical field experience while working alongside professional surveyors in an employee-owned company recognized as one of the “Best Firms to Work For.”

  • Assist Crew Chief in daily field survey operations and data collection
  • Operate survey equipment with precision and attention to detail
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in proper working condition
  • Collect field data accurately and efficiently while identifying and locating features
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
  • Represent McKim & Creed professionally when interacting with the public
  • Apply technical knowledge from academic coursework to real-world survey projects

The ideal candidate for our Survey Internship program should be currently enrolled in an accredited academic program. While we prefer students in four-year surveying or engineering programs, we also consider qualified candidates from two-year surveying associate degree programs. The internship is specifically designed to accommodate class schedules during Spring 2025 and provide full-time opportunities during Summer 2025.
