Job Description Summary
The Student Wellbeing Advisor role at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a crucial position focused on providing comprehensive mental health and wellbeing support to students. As the first point of contact for students facing challenges, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring their academic success and personal well-being.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students experiencing challenges affecting their studies, mental health, or overall wellbeing
- Manage a large caseload of students, providing timely, appropriate, and specialist advice on all aspects of university life
- Collaborate closely with academic faculties and other Student Advice and Wellbeing teams to ensure comprehensive support
- Conduct daily appointments and drop-in sessions to address student concerns
- Develop and deliver workshops and interventions tailored to support LJMU’s diverse student population
- Implement person-centered support models to ensure students receive appropriate assistance at the right time
- Monitor and track student progress, maintaining detailed records and case files
- Contribute to the development of wellbeing programs and initiatives
