Medcan is seeking a passionate part-time Social Worker to join their team in downtown Toronto. This position involves providing comprehensive assessments, creating action plans, and supporting clients to live healthier lives through evidence-based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

  • Reviewing and interpreting client screening results to address individual profiles, goals, and needs

  • Implementing therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing
  • Developing customized client action plans that address current or potential challenges, build resilience, and improve performance
  • Coordinating with Annual Health Assessment teams to ensure comprehensive care and enhanced client experiences
  • Creating detailed summary reports with client insights and action plans including referrals and resource recommendations
  • Contributing to new program development through content creation, clinical research, feedback management, and pilot program implementation
  • Maintaining and updating client resources and clinical tools as needed
  • Evaluating and reporting on external providers and community resources for Medcan client referrals

💼 Requirements for Social Worker Position in Toronto

To excel in this Social Worker role at Medcan’s Toronto clinic, you’ll need:

  • Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience working with adults (preference for experience with executives)
  • A Master’s degree in counselling, psychology, or social work
  • Full registration with a professional college
  • Flexibility to work both in-clinic and remotely
  • Experience in a private clinic setting with superior assessment skills
  • Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong focus on customer service and high professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Comfort with various communication channels (email, video, phone, chat) for client care
  • Experience in program development (considered an asset)

📍 Location and Schedule Information

This part-time Social Worker position requires 24 hours per week, working Wednesday through Friday during regular office hours.
