Job Description Summary

NACG is seeking skilled ground workers for their Kearl mining site near Fort McMurray, offering a competitive combined rate of up to $35.78/hour with camp accommodation provided and excellent benefits through the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

Responsibilities

  • Steam cleaning equipment as required to maintain operational standards
  • Performing seasonal snow removal around shop areas and parking lots
  • Operating fork trucks for moving parts and other materials across the site
  • Driving company vehicles to transport parts and items as requested by management
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
  • Properly using all required safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Reviewing and following safe work plans and hazard assessments prior to beginning any work assignment

The ideal candidate will have: – Minimum 2 years of experience in a laborer role – Preferably 1 year of previous mining site experience – Physical fitness capable of lifting 50 lbs regularly while working outdoors – Strong teamwork abilities and collaborative mindset – A safety-first attitude and approach to all tasks – Excellent attention to detail and strong listening skills – High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education (considered an asset) – Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written – Valid Class 5 Driver’s License – Construction Safety Officer (CSO) Certification – Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness training

Remote Work Policy

This position requires on-site presence at the Kearl mining operation. The work schedule follows a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation with 12-hour workdays (paid for 11.5 hours). Camp accommodation is provided during work rotations.
