Job Description Summary

GameChange BOS is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team in developing cutting-edge transformer solutions for utilities, data centers, renewables, and industrial markets. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in sustainable energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement customer specifications for transformer design projects up to 25MVA 69kV Class
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design reviews and justification reports
• Collaborate across departments to ensure project success and timely delivery
• Develop technical specifications for critical components like bushings, fuses, and tap changers
• Manage projects effectively while providing essential support to manufacturing teams
• Conduct root cause analysis and failure investigations
• Maintain clear communication with management teams in both US and India

Technical Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in transformer design (with Master’s/Bachelor’s) or 10-15 years (with Diploma)
• Profound knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and industry regulations
• Expert proficiency in 3D AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks
• Deep understanding of core constructions and winding types
• Ability to optimize mechanical designs for cost efficiency
• Experience in third-party inspection for fabrication
• Strong mentoring capabilities for junior engineers
