Responsibilities

As a Server at Cogir Senior Living, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Professional Meal Service: Serving meals to residents and guests with courtesy, warmth, and attention to detail, ensuring a positive dining experience
• Dining Room Management: Setting and clearing dining tables, arranging place settings, and delivering tray service to residents when required
• Post-Service Cleanup: Assisting with cleaning dishware, cutlery, and dining areas at the conclusion of each meal service
• Kitchen Support: Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas according to health and safety standards
• Special Event Support: Assisting with catering and actively participating in special occasions and themed events that enhance the resident experience
• Team Support: Helping with orientation and training of new culinary employees as needed
• Health and Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedures
• Policy Adherence: Complying with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures
• Resident Rights Awareness: Respecting and promoting the Resident Rights & Responsibilities in all interactions

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this Server role at Cogir Senior Living, you should possess:

• Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, though not required
• Senior Care Knowledge: Experience working with seniors is considered an asset
• Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of your shift
• Language Skills: Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset
• Background Check: Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS) or willingness to obtain one upon hire

Remote Work Policy
