Job Description Summary

The Hove Learning Federation is seeking a dedicated and organized individual for the role of Admin/Organisational Support – Role B. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our educational institution by providing crucial administrative and organizational support under the guidance of senior staff.

Responsibilities

📞 Reception and Communication

  • Manage reception duties, including answering phone calls, redirecting inquiries, and welcoming visitors
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Head Teacher and senior leadership team
  • Handle telephone enquiries, arrange hospitality, and manage mail distribution

📊 Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative assistance, including photocopying, filing, and responding to routine correspondence
  • Maintain both manual and computerized records and management information systems
  • Produce and collate various lists, reports, and pupil data as required
  • Undertake typing, word-processing, and other IT-based tasks for teaching and support staff
  • Take notes during meetings and assist with school trip arrangements

🏥 Student Welfare

  • Assist with pupil first aid and welfare duties
  • Liaise with parents and staff regarding sick pupils
  • Oversee pupils not in class or at the end of the school day as needed

📚 Resource Management

  • Operate relevant ICT packages (e.g., Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets)
  • Maintain stock and supplies, cataloging and distributing as required
  • Provide general advice and guidance to staff, pupils, and others

🔒 Compliance and Professional Development

  • Adhere to policies and procedures related to child protection, health, safety, and data protection
