Job Description Summary

A prestigious banking institution in Luxembourg is seeking a dedicated Regulatory Reporting & Operational Tax Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on managing regulatory and tax reporting while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and monitor information exchanges with tax authorities (FATCA, CRS)
  • Generate and verify transactional reporting for bank regulators (EMIR, MIFID, SFTR)
  • Implement QI-FATCA-CRS, SFTR, and EMIR process owner functions
  • Oversee Essential Outsourced Service Providers (SGPS, Tempo/Orchestra, IHS/Markit)
  • Ensure completeness and quality of tax and regulatory data in information systems
  • Participate actively in tax and regulatory project deployment within the bank
  • Conduct random and periodic checks on produced figures
  • Utilize dashboards for report analysis
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Provide training and helpdesk support for operational taxation

Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in French and English
  • Understanding of banking products (derivatives) and operations (repo, lending, corporate actions)
  • Strong knowledge of European and international taxation (CRS, QI, FATCA, double taxation treaties)
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks (EMIR, MIFID, SFTR)
  • Familiarity with declaration formats (XML) and/or dedicated software (e.g., Fitax)
  • Proficiency in client reference tools (Agora, Avaloq, PFO), back office (Calypso), and front office (PMT, Kondor, Charles River)
  • Knowledge of operational efficiency tools (Lean, 6Sigma, Visual Management)
  • Advanced skills in office tools (SQL, VBA, Cognos, DUCO)
