Job Description Summary
The University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate (Postdoc) in Quantum Computing to join their Signal Processing and Communications (SIGCOM) research group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in quantum information sciences and contribute to the advancement of beyond 5G wireless communication systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental research in quantum computing, focusing on quantum error correction and/or quantum algorithm design
- Collaborate with team members to design and analyze novel quantum computing algorithms for beyond 5G wireless communication systems
- Demonstrate the efficacy of solutions through small-scale simulations or implementations on currently available quantum computers
- Disseminate research findings through scientific publications and conference presentations
- Integrate with the SIGCOM team and identify synergies between quantum information sciences and wireless communication systems, with a special focus on non-terrestrial networks
- Assist in the supervision of PhD students
- Contribute to ongoing research projects in terms of technical contributions and/or coordination
- Prepare new research proposals to attract industrial, national, and European projects
