Job Description Summary

Royal IHC Ltd is seeking an experienced Supplier Assurance Engineer to lead their supplier quality function at the Port of Blyth facility. This role combines technical expertise with quality management in the offshore, marine, oil & gas, renewable, and defence markets.

Quality Engineering Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive technical support to Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams regarding design for manufacture and quality requirements
  • Conduct detailed supplier reviews and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
  • Generate and maintain progress reports from supplier reviews and assessments
  • Manage supplier NOIs (Notification of Inspection) and coordinate inspection points
  • Handle supplier NCRs (Non-Conformances), Technical Queries, and Concessions
  • Review and validate supplier Vendor Documentation Packs
  • Monitor and report supplier performance metrics
  • Maintain and update the “Supplier Quality Control” process bi-annually

Technical Requirements and Qualifications

  • HNC/HND qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Proven track record in quality control within engineering projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
  • CSWIP 3.1 weld inspection / PCN level II NDT qualifications (preferred)
  • Strong health and safety awareness and compliance
  • Expertise in project management methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Outstanding communication and report writing abilities
