Job Description Summary
Royal Holloway, University of London seeks a skilled Precision Mechanical Engineer to join their prestigious Department of Physics. Responsibilities
- Design, machine, and construct specialized research equipment with high precision using advanced workshop machinery
- Collaborate closely with academics, research assistants, and postgraduate students to develop and maintain research equipment
- Operate and maintain both manual and CNC machinery, including HURCO CNC milling machine and Emco CNC Lathe
- Ensure high accuracy and quality standards in all mechanical workshop operations
- Provide technical expertise and support for various research projects within the Physics Department
- Maintain and organize workshop equipment and materials
- Contribute to the development of new technical solutions for research challenges
