Uplift360 is seeking a passionate Polymer Chemist to drive groundbreaking research in advanced materials and composite recyclability, contributing to sustainable technology innovation.
Job Responsibilities 🔬
- Conduct laboratory-based scientific research on advanced materials and composite recyclability
- Assist leadership in delivering fast-paced scientific research projects
- Manage laboratory operations and develop robust Health and Safety protocols
- Consolidate and present scientific data through progress reports and team meetings
- Build and expand scientific network within the organization
- Demonstrate flexibility in research direction and focus
- Promote Uplift360’s vision and core values internally and externally
Required Qualifications 📚
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Chemistry or related STEM field (2:1 grade or above)
- Proven laboratory research experience
- Strong knowledge of fundamental chemical and material research
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Proven verbal and written English proficiency
- Demonstrated passion for sustainability and technological innovation
Desirable Qualifications 🏆
- Experience with advanced materials and fiber-reinforced polymer composites
- Knowledge of aramid fiber production methods
- Proficiency in analytical techniques (SEM, FTIR, TGA, polarizing microscopy)
- Master’s degree or equivalent industry/research experience
