Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity for a Policy Engagement Officer to join the Research Strategy and Governance team at the University of Plymouth, focusing on maximizing the policy impact of university research through strategic engagement and communication initiatives.

Policy Engagement Officer Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive policy engagement strategies to enhance research impact
  • Coordinate and organize external speaker events, workshops, and coaching sessions
  • Create in-house toolkits and online materials for policy engagement
  • Conduct horizon scanning and identify external opportunities for research impact
  • Plan and execute policy-focused campaigns with scheduled content delivery
  • Manage regular copywriting tasks and commission blog posts
  • Organize and deliver key policy engagement events
  • Grow and maintain online and social media presence
  • Represent the University at external research information and policy meetings
  • Support compliance with funder requirements and Research Excellence Framework submissions
