Responsibilities

• Deliver and enhance content of modules within the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics
• Run modules and facilitate their delivery across undergraduate programs
• Contribute to the strategic vision of Pharmacology education within the Faculty’s School of Bioscience Education
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Faculty and wider university
• Potentially deliver short-term (6 weeks) Pharmacology teaching at partner University in Shenzhen, China
• Contribute to pedagogical research and scholarship (up to 20% of time)
• Maintain and develop high-quality education and learning standards
• Participate in curriculum design and development initiatives
• Build a national/international profile in learning and teaching research

Essential Requirements:

• First Degree or Masters in Pharmacology or related subject
• PhD in Pharmacology or a related subject
• Experience of delivering quality teaching and learning at undergraduate level

• Proactive approach to creating collaborations with colleagues
• Ability to function within a team and to plan and prioritize workload

Desirable Qualifications:

• Evidence of research/scholarship in teaching and learning
