Job Description Summary
An exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Organic Chemistry to join Professor Ed Anderson’s research group at the University of Oxford’s Chemistry Research Laboratory. This four-year position focuses on pioneering research in small ring heterocycles and hydrocarbons, funded by the EPSRC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research on bicyclic hydrocarbons and propellanes for medicinal chemistry applications
- Develop and implement novel methodologies for asymmetric functionalization
- Collaborate with AbbVie to translate chemistry findings into industrial applications
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and provide regular progress reports
- Contribute to the publication of research findings in high-impact journals
- Participate in group meetings and research discussions
