Job Description Summary
The University of Cambridge is seeking a research-active Assistant/Associate Professor in Vertebrate Systems Neuroscience to join the Department of Physiology Development & Neuroscience (PDN). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class research and teaching in a prestigious academic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research in Vertebrate Systems Neuroscience
- Develop and maintain a successful research program
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in neuroscience, including elements of neurophysiology and/or neuroanatomy
- Design and deliver courses, examinations, and other forms of assessment
- Contribute to department administration and governance
- Supervise and mentor students and early-career researchers
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the university
- Seek and secure research funding
- Publish research findings in high-quality academic journals
- Participate in outreach activities and promote the department’s research
