Motion Graphics Artist Role and Responsibilities

As a Motion Graphics Artist at Blue Zoo, you’ll be entrusted with a variety of essential creative tasks that contribute directly to the studio’s renowned production quality. The successful candidate will work closely with the Art Director and the Lighting and Compositing Supervisor to create episodic motion graphics that seamlessly integrate with CG elements. Your artistic vision and technical expertise will help shape engaging visual content for audiences around the world.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing creative and visually compelling motion graphics for various projects, including both long-form and short-form children’s entertainment content
  • Utilizing industry-standard software tools such as Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop to design and animate graphics that effectively communicate the desired message
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, video editors, and creative directors, to brainstorm innovative concepts for motion graphic projects
  • Interpreting and translating client briefs and requirements into visually stunning motion graphics that align with brand identity and project objectives
  • Creating and implementing Nuke/Comp fixes to effectively integrate motion graphics within the compositing workflow

Motion Graphics Artist Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with motion graphics software, particularly Adobe After Effects

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality

  • Experience in organizing files and assets according to best practices for version control and asset management
