Amazon is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented ML Data Linguist to join their Alexa General Intelligence Data Services (AGI-DS) team. This role focuses on speech and language data, primarily in phonemic transcription, voice quality assurance, and general language expansion deliverables for Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Build a thorough understanding of labeling conventions and provide support to global sites
• Deliver high-quality data output within deadlines
• Work autonomously with minimum direction
• Handle unique data analysis requests from internal customers in Portuguese, English, and Spanish
• Contribute to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve data output
• Dive deep into issues and implement solutions independently
• Provide quality expertise to other team members and coach improvements
• Transcribe phonetically using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and/or X-SAMPA
• Work with audio content, wearing headsets for a portion or full day
• Adapt to changes in conventions based on internal customer requests
• Prioritize strict compliance with regulatory requirements
