Landis+Gyr is seeking a dedicated Mobile Meter Reader to collect accurate meter readings across a 2500 square mile service territory using both mobile and manual reading methods. 📋 Meter Reader Responsibilities

• Execute assigned mobile meter readings across a large service territory, ensuring accurate data collection
• Perform manual meter readings when required, maintaining high accuracy standards
• Remotely upload and download daily work assignments using specialized software
• Identify and report failed service conditions, meter issues, and module failures
• Participate in monthly individual performance counseling sessions to ensure continuous improvement
• Attend monthly safety meetings and adhere to all corporate QHSE standards
• Maintain assigned equipment including vehicles, computers, and testing equipment
• Obtain special meter readings for escalated customer issues or Public Utility Commission complaints
• Report defective or unsafe service conditions promptly to supervisors
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through process review

• Proficiency in operating GPS navigation systems and utility mapping programs

• Skill in manual data entry into Mobile Reader or handheld devices
• Route planning expertise to maximize meter reading efficiency
• Proficient oral and written communication skills for clear reporting
• Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Word and Excel applications
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions
