  • Optimizing imaging protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy while maintaining radiation safety standards
  • Ensuring MRI safety by reviewing MR-conditional implants and addressing Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) requirements
  • Overseeing radiographic technologist quality assurance programs to maintain consistent imaging standards
  • Supporting American College of Radiology (ACR) and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation processes
  • Ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory standards including NYC-DOH, NYS-DOH, MQSA, FDA, TJC, and ACR
  • Collaborating with Radiation Safety, Biomedical Engineering, and other departments
  • Coordinating with inspectors and regulatory bodies during facility assessments
  • Educating radiology residents and healthcare staff on imaging physics principles
  • Supporting research initiatives through phantom scans and specialized data collection
  • Monitoring CT dose compliance and optimization
