Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough quality assurance surveys, acceptance testing, and periodic evaluations for advanced imaging equipment
- Optimizing imaging protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy while maintaining radiation safety standards
- Ensuring MRI safety by reviewing MR-conditional implants and addressing Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) requirements
- Overseeing radiographic technologist quality assurance programs to maintain consistent imaging standards
- Supporting American College of Radiology (ACR) and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation processes
- Ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory standards including NYC-DOH, NYS-DOH, MQSA, FDA, TJC, and ACR
- Collaborating with Radiation Safety, Biomedical Engineering, and other departments
- Coordinating with inspectors and regulatory bodies during facility assessments
- Educating radiology residents and healthcare staff on imaging physics principles
- Supporting research initiatives through phantom scans and specialized data collection
- Monitoring CT dose compliance and optimization
