Job Description Summary

The University of Leicester is seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor/Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology to join their prestigious Leicester Cancer Research Centre. This role combines cutting-edge cancer research with clinical practice, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to both academic and healthcare advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a program of high-quality research within the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre Cancer Theme
  • Enhance cross-cutting research between Cancer and other themes, including Data Innovation and Lifestyle
  • Supervise clinical and non-clinical postgraduate and undergraduate researchers
  • Contribute to teaching delivery within the College
  • Deliver five programmed activities to the Consultant clinical medical oncology service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust
  • Generate significant research income and enhance impact activity
  • Maintain and develop a research profile of national/international standing
