🔧 Engineering Responsibilities

The Junior Engineer / Engineering Technician will play a vital role in establishing and operating the facility for the Manufacturing of Active Implants and Surgical Instruments (MAISI). Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively supporting routine facility organization and operational activities to ensure smooth functioning of the manufacturing environment
  • Assisting with manufacturing process optimization and qualification activities for medical device development
  • Operating and maintaining a diverse range of advanced manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers and laser micro-machining systems
  • Following detailed protocols and procedures with exceptional attention to detail
  • Collaborating with Process Engineers and other departments including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Procurement
  • Contributing to documentation and record-keeping in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the team in achieving manufacturing milestones and quality targets
  • Assisting with setup and calibration of equipment in the newly established facility

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in an Engineering Discipline (mechanical, electrical, or related field) or equivalent Professional Experience
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Problem-solving aptitude with ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Proficiency in writing and following detailed protocols and procedures
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working effectively within a small, fast-paced team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Competence with IT tools including MS Office, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical device, microelectronics, or pharmaceutical)

  • Previous experience with manufacturing processes and equipment operation
  • CAD skills for design and modification
  • Project Management or Six Sigma training/qualification
