Responsibilities

  • Chair the Governing Body and College Council, ensuring inclusive and effective decision-making
  • Provide leadership and motivation through example and consensus
  • Represent the College’s interests within the University and externally
  • Support and promote the scholarly activities of Fellows and the College’s academic mission
  • Foster a sense of community among Fellows, staff, postgraduates, and undergraduates
  • Engage actively in development and fundraising activities
  • Preside regularly at High Table and act as a welcoming host to alumni and guests

Remote Work Policy

The role of Master requires a physical presence at the College. The successful candidate is expected to reside in the Master’s Lodge, which is provided free of charge and includes space for both social and working purposes.
