• Lead the development and implementation of research strategies aligned with the University’s overarching research strategy
• Conduct internationally recognized research eligible for inclusion in the Research Excellence Framework
• Disseminate research through high-impact journals and international conferences
• Secure external funding through research grants and contracts
• Supervise postdoctoral researchers and postgraduate research students
• Provide mentorship and support for academic colleagues to promote high-quality research
• Establish a vibrant research culture through workshops, seminars, and conferences
• Ensure research activities are integral to the student learning experience
• Plan and teach courses at all levels, contributing to programme development and curriculum review
• Supervise and support student learning activities, including work-based learning and research projects
• Provide academic support and guidance for students
