Job Description Summary 📝

HSBC Continental Europe seeks a dynamic Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to its Securities Services division, specializing in Luxembourg and EU legal frameworks. The ideal candidate will offer strategic legal guidance and manage legal risks effectively.

Responsibilities 🎯

  • Provide first-class internal legal advice to HSBC Continental Europe’s Securities Services
  • Support Asset Management and other business lines in Luxembourg
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering pragmatic and cost-effective legal solutions
  • Guide departments on legal risks within your expertise
  • Proactively advise on material legal developments and their implications
  • Keep Luxembourg General Counsel informed about major issues and legislative changes

Qualifications Required 🔍

  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and EU law
  • Experience in international securities services or investor services
  • Expertise in corporate banking and payment management
  • Up-to-date understanding of banking regulations (AIFMD, UCITS V, MIFID II, PSD, GDPR)
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Fluent English (mandatory), French (recommended)
