Job Description Summary
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is seeking a dynamic Knowledge Exchange Manager to spearhead the development and growth of knowledge exchange and enterprise activities. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between academic research and industry applications, driving innovation and impact across the university.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop knowledge-based products and services to support research impact and innovation activities across LJMU
- Lead the development and submission of commercial tenders and complex knowledge exchange opportunities
- Collaborate with Faculties, Schools, and Research Institutes to maximize research impact and drive external income growth
- Facilitate and coordinate key industrial-based strategic projects, working closely with senior LJMU stakeholders
- Manage and develop key client relationships, engaging with SMEs, third sector, community, and commercial clients
- Project manage externally funded Knowledge Exchange opportunities, including drafting and negotiating project paperwork
- Represent LJMU at key sector events and contribute to the development of knowledge exchange-related activities
- Lead sector/place-based reviews and draft strategic reports to support industrial priorities
- Work collaboratively with Research & Innovation Services and other Professional Services Teams to deliver coordinated services
