Public Health Ontario (PHO) is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to join their Toronto laboratory facility on a 6-month contract. Responsibilities

• 📥 Receiving and Processing: Receive, unpack, count, track, and check incoming laboratory and other supplies, ensuring proper storage or delivery according to specifications while completing related paperwork such as delivery slips.
• 🔍 Verification and Documentation: Match received goods against packing slips, enter information into computer systems, match against purchase orders, and alert Procurement staff of any discrepancies like back orders or quantity issues.
• 📝 Record Maintenance: Maintain various documents including records of received goods, packing slips, and delivery slips according to retention policy guidelines.
• 📦 Storage and Distribution: Store warehouse products properly or complete internal deliveries of supplies to central lab locations and ship products to regional labs with appropriate documentation.
• ⚠️ Hazardous Materials Handling: Ensure proper storage and security of perishable goods, gas cylinders, solvents, and acids according to established safety procedures.
