The University of Exeter Sport is seeking two exceptional individuals to join their team as Assistant Hockey Coaches, with the opportunity to lead either the men’s or women’s 2nd teams as part of their performance program, while also assisting with the 1st teams.

The University of Exeter Sport has invested significantly in their performance programs and is now recruiting for two exceptional individuals to join their team as Assistant Hockey Coaches. These permanent part-time positions offer the exciting opportunity to lead on the coaching of either the men’s or women’s 2nd teams, while also assisting with delivery at the 1st team level.

📋 Hockey Coach Responsibilities

As an Assistant Hockey Coach at the University of Exeter, you’ll be entrusted with:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality coaching sessions for university hockey performance squads
  • Leading the coaching of either men’s or women’s 2nd teams competing in BUCS and England Hockey League competitions
  • Supporting the Head of Hockey with delivery at 1st team level
  • Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary performance team
  • Assisting with the recruitment of talented players to the university
  • Supporting student-athletes with their commitments at international level
  • Liaising with external coaching staff and key personnel as needed
  • Contributing to the university’s strategy for Sport and Physical Activity

Additional paid opportunities exist to coach within the England Hockey Talent Academy and/or undertake program administrative tasks, making this an even more attractive position for the right candidate.
