DiMarco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Grinding Operator to join our team in Clarence, NY. As a Grinding Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for setting up and operating grinding equipment to remove excess material, sharpen edges, and polish metal pieces to perfection.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain grinding equipment and related tools
• Remove excess material and burrs from metal surfaces with precision
• Sharpen edges and corners of metal pieces to meet specifications
• Buff, hone, and polish metal components to achieve desired finish
• Examine and feel work piece surfaces to identify defects
• Move grinder over surfaces to remove scratches and imperfections
• Polish ground areas with finer abrasives for smooth, unmarred surfaces
• Replace worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts as needed
• Select appropriate grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to job specifications
• Assist in other production areas as required
• Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs
