Job Description Summary

The Events and Educational Programs Manager will lead the development and management of all research and social events at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC), while overseeing educational programs including the prestigious CISAC Honors College in Washington DC.

Responsibilities

  • Event Management Excellence: Develop and manage all aspects of CISAC’s research and social events including planning, marketing, execution, and budgeting.
  • Strategic Communications: Collaborate with CISAC’s Communications Manager to effectively promote events and educational programs to relevant audiences.
  • Educational Program Leadership: Work directly with faculty to develop and manage the CISAC Honors College, a prestigious 10-day program in Washington DC.
  • Budget Oversight: Oversee budgets and program logistics for the CISAC Honors Program, ensuring fiscal responsibility and program success.
  • Team Direction: Direct the work of other CISAC staff members working on events and educational programs.
  • Program Administration: Independently implement, administer, and evaluate day-to-day activities of educational programs by identifying and executing tasks and objectives.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze program data, create comprehensive reports, review and explain trends to stakeholders.
  • Policy Development: Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for programs and functions.
  • Institutional Representation: Represent CISAC as a key contact and subject matter expert both within Stanford and to external stakeholders.
  • Outreach Coordination: Organize and participate in outreach activities including developing communications, planning and promoting events and conferences.
