An exciting opportunity for a motivated Events and Catering Team Leader to join Imperial College London’s Property Division, coordinating catering services and supervising staff across multiple campus locations.
🌟 Events Catering Team Leader Responsibilities
The Events and Catering Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery across Imperial College London’s campuses. As a team leader, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of catering events, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This position involves working directly with the Events and Catering Duty Supervisor to provide high-quality food and services for the Imperial College community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional hospitality catering services and ensuring all catering deliveries are cleared within the requested timeframe according to service standards
- Maintaining accurate records of catering consumptions and reporting them to the Supervisor
- Briefing and coordinating agency staff and team members to deliver efficient, professional service at events
- Promptly reporting any service failures or collection issues to the Events and Catering Duty Supervisor
- Ensuring proper waste disposal according to environmental standards and college policies
- Communicating with event organizers and guests in a courteous, respectful, and welcoming manner
- Assisting in identifying areas for customer service improvement and implementing solutions
- Supporting the operational delivery of catering events across multiple venues
- Taking responsibility for the preparation and service of catered events throughout Imperial College campuses
- Ensuring full compliance with College/Department policies, health, and hygiene legislation
💼 Imperial College Events Catering Requirements
To succeed in this Events and Catering Team Leader position, you should have:
- Previous experience working in a similar catering environment
- Experience supervising agency or relevant staff at catering functions and small dinners
- A responsible attitude toward health and safety at work
- Enthusiasm and knowledge about customer care/service
- The ability to work with a variety of personalities at all levels
- A basic food hygiene qualification (or ability to obtain a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate within two months of appointment)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
- Willingness to work across any outlet/venue across all Imperial Campuses, primarily at South Kensington
