Job Description Summary

The Institutional Events Officer will manage and deliver high-profile events that showcase Imperial College London’s work and connect the institution with key stakeholders, supporting the delivery of Imperial’s Strategy “Science for Humanity.”

Responsibilities

  • Project manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of institutional events from concept development to post-event evaluation, including receptions, public lectures, and launches
  • Deliver professional events on time, within budget, and meeting objectives while monitoring KPIs throughout the planning process
  • Chair planning meetings, ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities, and follow up with detailed notes and action items
  • Write and deliver comprehensive briefings for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Align event planning and execution with Imperial’s Strategy “Science for Humanity” while effectively managing stakeholder expectations
  • Handle time-pressured projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
