Job Description Summary
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer to join their IT Services team. This role is crucial in maintaining, configuring, and deploying packaged software solutions for the university’s business information systems, with a focus on HR and Finance applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of LJMU’s ERP platform, delivering changes to enhance user experience and integration with other key university services.
- Collaborate with customers, ITS colleagues, and technology partners to translate business requirements into high-quality solutions.
- Maintain expertise in Finance and HR ERP systems, particularly Oracle Financials, HCM, and Payroll.
- Plan, design, develop, test, and implement specific packages of work, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
- Ensure services are secure, resilient, and up-to-date by continuously assessing maintenance and upgrade needs.
- Design and maintain systems to monitor the effectiveness, usage, and health of services under your responsibility.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for managed services.
- Innovate in service delivery, demonstrating a deep understanding of business customer needs.
- Champion best practice service management principles and respond to incident and problem requests.
