Job Description Summary

The University of Cambridge’s Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in Energy Materials. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge research and contribute to the new Advanced Materials for the Energy Transition (AMET) Taught MPhil Programme.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a world-class research programme in Energy Materials
  • Co-direct the AMET Taught MPhil Programme for the first five years
  • Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Contribute to course management, student admissions, and examination duties
  • Supervise laboratory classes and research projects
  • Engage in academic administration and contribute to the Department’s growth
