Job Description Summary

An exceptional opportunity for a senior academic to lead the Centre for Race, Education and Decoloniality (CRED) at Leeds Beckett University’s Carnegie School of Education, focusing on transformative research and educational practice in race equality and decolonial approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop CRED’s research excellence program while maintaining strong connections with practitioners in schools, colleges, and community groups
  • Drive the School’s REF preparation and submission through academic leadership
  • Generate sustained research output and secure research funding
  • Supervise doctoral students and deliver teaching across various levels
  • Build and maintain partnerships with education professionals across sectors
  • Lead initiatives to decolonize curricula and develop anti-racist practices
  • Foster international collaborations to advance knowledge in race and racism in education
