Job Description Summary
The University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) is seeking a Research Associate to join their SEDAN group. This role focuses on developing a cybersecurity-oriented telemetry framework using causal modeling for microservice-based infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Develop a cybersecurity-oriented telemetry framework capturing and modeling causal dependencies in microservice-based infrastructures
- Progress on causal inference modeling by combining probabilistic reasoning and deep learning models
- Define a language for modeling purposes and develop algorithms for learning and inference from events
- Implement incremental learning to update models when drift is detected and merge multiple models
- Deploy a small environment with existing tools (e.g., Prometheus, Loki, cAdvisor, Falco) and develop new tools if needed
- Participate in project management, reporting, and dissemination activities
- Collaborate on various topics related to applied ML and cybersecurity, including applications and security of LLMs
