Job Description Summary
Brunel University London, in collaboration with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), is offering a fully funded PhD studentship to develop and test a behavioral change intervention aimed at increasing referral and uptake rates for pulmonary rehabilitation among people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Responsibilities
- Co-design a very brief behavioral change intervention for healthcare professionals
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including focus groups and co-design workshops
- Lead patient and public involvement activities
- Participate in the study’s independent advisory group and trial steering committee
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including patient support networks and healthcare centers
- Contribute to the development of a future full-scale trial of the proposed intervention
