Job Description Summary

Join the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) as a Communications Officer within the Resilience Program, where you’ll play a crucial role in communicating climate change adaptation strategies and sustainable development initiatives to global audiences.

Responsibilities

Creative Content Development

  • Design and implement comprehensive communications strategies for climate change adaptation projects
  • Create engaging content including articles, blog posts, and infographics
  • Manage digital media campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Track and analyze current events in climate change and sustainability sectors

Digital Strategy Implementation

  • Manage content on WordPress and Drupal platforms
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic and engagement metrics
  • Create digital assets including LinkedIn cards and presentations
  • Source and manage visual content for publications

Public Engagement

  • Organize and promote webinars for report releases
  • Support in-person event preparation and execution
  • Build relationships with journalists and media outlets
  • Draft and distribute media pitches and press releases
