Job Description Summary
The Department of Zoology at the University of Cambridge is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support and develop communication within and beyond the department. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a renowned research and teaching environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and create content for the department’s external website, including news articles and research project updates
- Manage and enhance the department’s social media presence across platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Liaise with the Museum of Zoology and Cambridge Conservation Initiative for media opportunities and public engagement initiatives
- Produce the department’s weekly bulletin and act as the main point of contact for communications queries
- Support the use of Microsoft SharePoint platforms and promote digital workplace tools
- Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Relations to create the termly newsletter
