About the Commercial Controller Position
The Commercial Controller position at ArcelorMittal combines financial expertise with commercial acumen. Working within the Europe Flat Products & EPO division, you’ll play a crucial role in steering commercial activities and measuring business performance against targets. This position reports directly to the Head of Commercial Performance, Load Management, and Pricing.
Key Responsibilities and Opportunities
Commercial Performance Management
- Execute and optimize the Monthly Rolling Forecast (MRF) process, providing qualitative analysis of turnover targets
- Drive profitability through comprehensive analysis and reporting
- Serve as a strategic business partner to sales teams and CMO
- Facilitate decision-making processes through data-driven insights
- Act as a liaison between commercial, plant operations, and finance departments
Strategic Pricing Initiatives
- Lead price digitalization efforts and data preparation for systems evolution
- Develop and implement strategic pricing models
- Conduct in-depth analysis of base prices, extras, and deviations
- Support RFQ pricing centralization and price negotiations
- Monitor and analyze price trends driven by external factors
Demand Planning Excellence
- Manage budget and quarterly sales planning using advanced planning tools
- Oversee order forecast management for SOP cycle input
- Drive shipment forecast accuracy
- Coordinate MRF process for volume forecasting
- Participate in SOP cycle as Electrical Steel representative
Required Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics
- Additional certifications in financial analysis are advantageous
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or commercial controlling
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and modeling
- Strong track record in business performance monitoring
Technical Competencies
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with Tableau and Salesforce (preferred)
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Understanding of steel products and production processes (plus)
